Among the most anticipated openings in New York City this Fall, REYNA, Toronto’s reigning Mediterranean tapas and cocktail bar conceived by restaurant industry veteran Nicki Laborie, is now open in Union Square. The atmospheric restaurnt is designed as an energetic gathering place where the vibe, food and drinks intermix to create a wholly unique restaurant experience. Offering both tapas and larger plates, REYNA’s menu is a fusion of the Mediterranean featuring an eclectic mix of Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek and Turkish dishes rooted in bold, Mediterranean flavors. The very unique Lamb Baklava has quickly become a REYNA favourite across all locations and a must-try for its sweet, salty and opulent flavor. REYNA’s royal inspired bar program also offers a distinctive array of flavors, with each REYNA libation having been created with a backstory in mind. Some a clever twist on a classic cocktail, others created to pleasantly surprise its recipient.

Our convivial and fun ambiance is the perfect backdrop for a night of romance, spells of laughter among friends, or an anything but ordinary evening of indulgence. Our menu features a selection of small plates and signature cocktails inspired by the vibrant cuisine across the Mediterranean. From our house-made dips to our flavorful shawarma platter and fresh seafood, each dish is crafted with passion and precision, using only the finest ingredients, curating a journey across the sun-kissed shores of Greece and Spain, the spice markets of Lebanon, and the bustling streets of Portugal and Istanbul.

Our Story…

REYNA, which comes from "queen" in Spanish, was conceived by restaurant veteran Nicki Laborie with the first location opening in 2016 in Toronto. Lead by the belief that people bring back people, the entire concept revolves around bringing people together in a convivial, sexy, warm and welcoming space. Every detail of REYNA is curated to follow the vibe, from the decor, music and lighting to the food and the cocktails, creating an experience that is unique and memorable. As a result, this Mediterranean tapas and cocktail bar soon became a staple in Toronto as two more locations launched in the city.

Laborie then went back to her roots in New York City and at the end of 2022 she opened the doors to our newest REYNA location, thriving at Union Square in Manhattan and marking its stamp on the big city. When you come by, be sure to ask us about Louis.
